Data Store:

CareCentric is based on a SQL-server based central store or repository which assembles data from all the connected systems and makes it available to the CareCentric suite and other applications as required. Data is held in a variety of formats including tables, XML documents and blobs and is organised in such a way that data from different sources can be simply combined for use in integrated applications. This repository has been architected for maximum performance and includes additional logic to help ensure data integrity in information sourced from different applications. CareCentric is developed using a standard N-Tier approach with the repository as the data layer. The use of a data store has many benefits including provision of a medicolegal record, support for data versioning, high performance and the ability to operate without access to or impacting performance of operational systems.
