GXIF

The Graphnet GXIF Integration Engine provides a central broker for real-time inter-operability between software systems. A typical acute trust can process 5,000 to 10,000 messages daily from pathology alone. With multiple other data feeds, messaging must be as efficient as possible.

Specifically designed for the Graphnet repository, the GXIF integration engine guarantees complete standardisation across all incoming data feeds. In addition to the core engine, each interface requires only a simple "plug-in", a schema and 2 style sheets – dramatically reducing the development time normally associated in working with multiple differing systems across a typical health community.

GXIF has been used to interface Graphnet applications with a range of Connecting for Health systems (such as PAS) in hospital, community and area settings to collect CfH messages and, where there are appropriate receiving systems in place, GXIF has been used bi-directionally to feed data back to other systems.

GXIF allows for:

Schema validation so that messages can be validated to strict criteria before being accepted. If a message does not validate against the schema, it will be rejected and set aside for future analysis.

Message acknowledgements can be sent back to the sender. This is critical to a large scale implementation and ensures the integrity and quality of the data.

Message Queues where incoming messages are sent to Work queues, and then proceed to either Retry queues, Processed queues or Failure Queues. The monitoring and notifications engine make it easy to see messages working their way through the engine.

Multi-threaded engine so that messages can be processed as quickly and as efficiently and in as near real-time as possible

GXIF can process most feed and datatypes including: XML, HL7 v2.x, CSV and other bespoke delimited file types.

GXIF can work alongside Graphnet Extract software which automatically collects data from a variety of systems such as GP practices.
