CareCentric BI is a data warehouse and reporting suite that sits on top of the CareCentric data store and allows users to develop standard and ad hoc reports. Reporting tables are stored in Microsoft SQL Server tables allowing a wide variety of reporting options.
CareCentric BI allows the development of complex reports combining data from multiple care settings. Using the breadth and depth of data making up the shared care record, reports can assemble primary, secondary and social care data to analyse all aspects of care over the length of the patient care pathways.
The Carecentric BI engine applies user-definable definitions and prepares a set of summary tables to enable efficient report development. By combining CareCentric EPR and CareCentric BI, users can support the development of local services and multi-centre pathway redesign, as well as having access to
comprehensive data for strategic planning and regular monitoring. This offers huge benefits in terms of reduced overheads in data source integration, transformation, local solution development and creating data flows for existing clinical and analysis systems. CareCentric products deliver an integrated and seamless information management solution.
CareCentric BI creates full, anonymised and/or pseudonymised reporting data stores from the operational data sets built for its shared care systems. The data used depends on data sharing agreements and the purpose of the reporting. For example, live data can be used to provide operational reports such as a handover reports for clinicians. Management, performance and research reports can be run on anonymised data sets. The use of data copies as opposed to live data means that complex queries and reports can be constructed without compromising the performance of the operational system.
