Beverley Bryant to take up leadership role at the System C & Graphnet Care Alliance
31st May 2017
Director of digital transformation at NHS Digital, Beverley Bryant, has been appointed chief operating officer of the System C & Graphnet Care Alliance. She will be starting her new job on 1 August 2017.
Beverley (pictured right) will be working closely with Ian Denley and Markus Bolton across many areas of the System C and Graphnet businesses including strategy, delivery and business development. She will be joining the boards of both companies.
System C and Graphnet are closely-related UK IT companies which work together in a strategic alliance. They share key directors, a long track record of developing and deploying solutions designed specifically for the UK health and care system, and a strong ethical commitment to better care.
Beverley has a wealth of experience to add to the System C and Graphnet teams. Her responsibilities in the NHS included negotiating the spending review settlement to deliver the NHS and social care digital strategy, heading the NHS E-Referral Service and the Patient Online programme, and co-developing the strategy ‘Personalised Health and Care 2020’.
Beverley is also founding ambassador of the global network for women in IT, ‘One HealthTech’, and was awarded Digital Leader of the Year 2017 in the Women in IT national awards. Previously, she has worked in the private sector (managing director of Capita Health), in the NHS (director of performance at NHS Leeds and business development director at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust) and as CIO at the Department of Health.
“Beverley is the leading light of healthcare informatics”, said Markus Bolton, joint CEO and founder of System C, and director of Graphnet. “She could have chosen a role at any business in the UK so we are delighted that she chose to join us.
“Over the last few years we have built and consolidated our position as market leaders in many areas of health and social care. It is now time to drive forward the roll out of mobile clinical and digital excellence solutions and extended shared care records across the UK. There is a lot of work to do and Beverley will make a huge contribution to our capacity and capability at a board level.”
Beverley commented: “The System C & Graphnet Care Alliance stand out for me because they work across the whole health and social care economy. They have real drive, a substantial user base and an excellent delivery record.
I am really pleased and excited to be joining the supplier community to help drive real change at such a critical moment.”
System C’s products include the Medway EPR, Vitalpac mobile clinical support solutions, CarePlus Child Health and the Liquidlogic range of social care software.
Graphnet leads the way in the delivery of large scale shared record systems and the next-generation of clinical apps which help in the redesign services and the way clinicians and patients interact together.
