Cheshire and Merseyside Fire & Rescue Services currently delivers 50,000 Home Fire Safety Checks and 10,000 Safe and Well checks, with Cheshire delivering 30,000 Safe & Well visits annually, representing a significant investment in prevention across the region. During these visits Fire & Rescue Services provide prevention education, advice, and guidance to vulnerable residents at home.
The Safe and Well Risk Reduction Programme, is a civic partnership between Cheshire and Merseyside Fire & Rescue Services, the NHS Data into Action team, the Liverpool City Region Civic Data Cooperative, at the University of Liverpool, and Graphnet.
The project demonstrates how public sector organisations can work together using shared intelligence to improve community safety. By harnessing NHS data through the combined intelligence for population health action (CIPHA) platform the programme enables Fire & Rescue Services to more effectively target households at increased risk of accidental fires due to health and wellbeing factors—without accessing any personal or health-identifiable data.
Join our upcoming webinar to see how the power of civic data partnerships in driving integrated, ethical, and impactful public service transformation. We look forward to hearing from our guest hosts;
